BRJ`s International Advisory Board Member; Professor Seeram Ramakrishna received an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering from CUT!

   

Central University of Technology (CUT; Republic of South Africa) awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering to BRJ`s International Advisory Board MemberProfessor Seeram Ramakrishna (National University of Singapore; NUS) who was appointed earlier as a Visiting Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering at CUT.

Professor Ramakrishna was recognised by Thomson Reuters as one of the world’s most influential scientific minds in the years 2014 and 2015. Seeram is considered the world’s foremost scientist on nanomaterial for use in diverse fields such as healthcare, energy, water and the environment. His research over the past three decades resulted in seminal contributions in novel processing and mechanistic understanding of the functional behaviour of composite materials, nanofibres and nanoparticles. He received several awards and recognitions for his pioneering research contributions in the processing and functional development of composite materials, biomaterials and nanomaterials.

Professor Seeram Ramakrishna`s role in the swift international recognition of Biofuel Research Journal has been instrumental.

Launched in March 2014, Biofuel Research Journal is now indexed by Scopus, Thomson Reuters Web of Science (also known as ISI Web of Science): Emerging Sources Citation Index, CrossRefDOAJEZB, and CAS Databases (Chemical Abstracts).
