BRJ`s scope has been recently expanded covering Climate Change related concerns and Biofuels thanks to the attachment of Dr. Nick Watts (UCL, UK) and Professor Hugh Montgomery (UCL, UK); respectively, the Chair and Co-chair of the prestigious Lancet Commission: Tackling Progess on Climate Change and Health, to BRJ Editorial Board.

Professor Montgomery has been awarded the title of London Leader by the London Sustainable Development Commission for his work in climate change and health under the auspices of Project Genie; he was also a founding member of the UK Climate and Health Council and one of the co-authors of the UCL-Lancet Commissions" in 2009 and 2015. Hugh has published over 300 scientific publications including original research papers in journals such as Nature, The Lancet, and the New England Journal of Medicine.

Dr. Nick Watts is the Executive Director of the Lancet Countdown: Tracking Progress on Health and Climate Change, an independent and multi-disciplinary research collaboration between academic centres around the world. It is based at University College London’s Institute for Global Health, and is a continuation of the 2015 Lancet Commission on Health and Climate Change. The Countdown tracks and drives progress towards a world which is responding to climate change in a way that protects and promotes public health.
